... for mid to late September still on target month date, however expect the raw release to be a bit lacking, not to dash any hopes. So here is what you will get.
For late September you will get the first version release working in an Alpha state "Flat Ride Construction Set" and you will be able to import some parts and assemble them as the parts begin to become approved by the committee of modelers and Coders. The parts in the application will be able to be assembled and each part or part group have motion applied to it. The rides will spin up go through the circuit you specify and then wind down and that is it. No save feature on the first release I have been told. Bummer huh! Well for only about a month. The second release due in late October will have a save feature and save the ride file into a template. Additional rides will also have been added to the frcs module and now you not only will be able to save work, but open existing uploaded templates to the forums or elsewhere and edit them to hone them to an even better or different ride. Additional unnamed features also will have occurred at this point in the game. November going into December will see even further refinements and perhaps a very slick interface with many existing FRCS and future FRCS options added too further making the rides more powerful and much more realistic. At this point the Passenger placement and camera options for the ride should possibly be in place though this is hypothetical at this time and may well change. January into midway next year we are expecting thousands of ride models to start appearing and the TRCS, BG come along with better AI.
First view of a working compiled FRCS in pre-alpha mode was posted today at the forums. For all of those who said show me something other then the more then 70 ride models at the time of this writing, that working application part of the game is proof that it is happening and more then anyone ever thought. In fact it is all coming together very well and at a rapid rate. This is because we never gave up, instead we grew and grew and grew and it continues as more and more members become involved in the process. So sit back, and enjoy as the first module working for the game is almost ready for release to the general public. It will not be very long for now.
The FRCS was originally released to the initial Lucky 5. Those names as we now know them are officially...

If you were not on that list, don't worry. They got the first release which no doubt has bugs. The alpha-2 will be out in about a week from this posting and the Lucky 20 are soon to follow. As for myself, I'll wait with the tpb3d public for alpha-3 and the ironed out bugs by others
While this site will not lock out other web browsers it is designed for Fire Fox. It also is designed to be used with a screen over 600X800 and makes use of png transparency, which Internet Explorer 6 does not support.
