No limits Roller coaster simulator was originally created by Ole Lange and stile is but the team has grown over the years. No limit is published by Mad Data and with out a doubt is the most realistic coater simulation game on the market to day. To find out more about NO limits you can check the official site here and the design page here.
In December 2007 the No Limit team has released a free update to No Limit V1.6 called V1.7 for both Mac and PC. It features many new updates including three new train styles.
There has also been talk about the possibility of a Linux version of No Limits. Unfortunately at this point it appears that the Linux port is dead in the water, do the amount of time that would be necessary to complete it. But there is NL2 to look forwards to!
No Limit Files for Exchange
If you looking to ether download NL files or share your creations with other designers here are some sites to check out.
The No Limits Development Center is a great place to set up pages to display your rides and is very popular in the No Limit community.
If you want a good spot to download and upload your No Limit work I would recommend Coaster Nets’s Down Load Extras section, which can be fount here.
Another good spot on the net to exchange rids is Coaster Sims and If you have technical questions and want people to help you perfect your ride this is definitely the place. Also a lot of No Limit moders are active there, so there is plenty of support on how to use No Limit utilities.
If your interested more in downloading No Limit rides then sharing them negative-g.com has a nice collection, which can be fount here.
No Limit Utilities
There are many utilities availed to help with creating No Limit coaters here are some links to help you find some you might find useful.
A large amount of tools for No Limit are from Gravimetric Studios created by Jennifer "Tia" Lynn, also a developer on No Limits. They can be fount on her web site gravimetricstudios.com. (gravimetricstudios seams to be down, no one knows exactly what is going on with it as far as I know) In the meantime the tools can be fount here at Coaster Sims or here.
At the NoLimits Development Center they have one if not he most complete list of No Limit utilities, which can be fount here.
3D Modals in NL
No Limits has the ability to import 3D modals in the 3ds file format.
If you have never made any modals before I would suggest to start off with the No Limit Object Creator since it is free, essay to learn, and explains how to get the objects in game. It can be fount here at Gravimetric Studios. (gravimetricstudios seams to be down, no one knows exactly what is going on with it as far as I know) In the meantime the tools can be fount here at Coaster Sims or here.
Once you get good at the Object Creator a try and get good at it I would recommend giving anim8or a try, which is also free, and with its new scripting language has become more powerful then ever before.
If your using a 3D program that does not support the 3ds file type give Biturn file converter a try. Which can be fount here.
No Limits 2
Currently the No Limits team is working on No Limits 2. Any time frame of when the new version will be complete is unknown at this time. From what is known so fare about the new version of No Limits there should be a lot to look forwards to when it is completed.
More information about No Limits 2 including screen shoots of the new engine can be fount here.
While this site will not lock out other web browsers it is designed for Fire Fox. It also is designed to be used with a screen over 600X800 and makes use of png transparency, which Internet Explorer 6 does not support.
